Active participation in community health work and screening programmes have won multiple awards in various oncology forums, publications in various national and international journals, written chapters for oncology textbooks and oncology bulletins. She has done her MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, post graduation from VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, basic gynecologic oncologic training at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre, then received the prestigious IGCS Fellowship award for training at the Royal Hospital for women in Sydney. Also, trained in the gynae oncology department at the Mayo Clinic, USA. She is an active member of various gynecologic oncology and gynaecology organizations.
