About: Oncology comes as a passion to me rather than a profession. I derived my motivation from my father's illness, a cancer warrior for the past 18 years. Trained and educated at the apex medical institute of India - All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), I have been mentored by the best in cancer care. My expertise spans in all types of chemotherapy, intensive protocols, immunotherapy, hormonal therapy in addition to dealing with oncological emergencies, including medical care of patients. My ardent interest in academics and keeping up to date, got me The Best Exam Award at ESMO (European society of Medical Oncology) Examination 2013 for scoring the top marks globally, making me the first and only Indian to achieve this fame.I am also the member of Executive Committee of ISMPO (Indian Society of Medical and Pediatrics Oncology), a national body of senior academicians of India. I am also the Joint Secretary of the NCR (national capital region) Oncology Forum. I hold deep interest in Breast cancer, Lung Cancer, Gastro-intestinal cancer and Lymphoma/leukemia/myeloma. Dr Manish Singhal is a senior medical oncologist and Head of the Department at Dharamshila hospital, New Delhi. He has his key interest in breast cancer, lung cancer, GI and GU cancer in addition to keeping abreast with latest developments. He is a DNB (Medical Oncology) teacher. Dr Singhal did his MBBS from Seth GS Medical Oncology, KEM Hospital Mumbai and MD in Internal Medicine from PGIMS, Rohtak. He got his formal training in Medical Oncology (DM) from apex institute AIIMS, New Delhi. During his tenure their he was selected for training at Oriel College, Oxford University, UK and Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Center, Detroit, USA. He was Head of Department at Fortis International Oncology from 2010 to 2015. He is the first and the only Indian to top the ESMO (European Society of Medical oncology) Exam in 2013, scoring world rank 1. Other than numerous publication in academic journals, Dr Singhal is active in print Media right from community magazine Samvada, HT City, India Today and many Hindi dailies. He has also been invited discussant on DD and CNN-IBN channels. Dr Singhal is Executive Committee Member of Indian Society of Medical & Pediatric Oncology (ISMPO), a national academic body. He is the Joint Secretary of NCR Oncology Forum.
