Dr Y Vijayachandra Reddy is a Senior Consultant Interventionalist Cardiologist. He is a British Commonwealth
Scholar in Interventional Cardiology, University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, UK and is an expert live case operator in
several conferences (NIC, Bifurcation Summit, TIC, TANCSI). He is also an investigator in multicentre trials and
registries like PRIME-CARE, WIN-OVER, TREASURE. He pioneered in trans-radial interventions and complex high-
risk interventions (CHIP) including left-main angioplasty and stenting, ostial, bifurcation and chronic total occlu-
sion PCIs and has an extensive experience in post CABG interventions including SVG and LIMA graft interventions.
He is credited with pioneering work in acute MI interventions (primary angioplasty) and his PCI work in cardiogen-
ic shock with unparalleled outcomes is well known. He is versatile in coronary imaging (FFR, OCT, IVUS), implant-
able cardiac device therapies, and the complex field of thoracic and abdominal aortic endovascular stent grafting
(TEVAR, EVAR).
