Dr. Shivani completed DNB Paediatrics from Safdarjung Hospital and Senior Residency of 3 years from reputed institutions in the country — Maulana Azad Medical College, AIIMS and Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. Thereafter, she pursued the Indian Academy of Paediatrics Fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition from Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi. She subsequently did short-term training in Pediatric Endoscopy at AIIMS, New Delhi.

Prior to Medanta, Dr. Shivani Deswal was an Associate Professor of Paediatrics at PGIMER and Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi for 6 years, where she was instrumental in starting exclusive Paediatric Endoscopy services. She has multiple publications to her credit and has a keen interest in clinical research.
